[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top] SEVENTEEN FEMALE BISEXUAL BRITISH YEAR III | [atrb=style, width: 296px; padding: 5px; background-color: e3e3e3; border-top: 4px solid #966666;] GENERAL INFORMATION NAME, leigh ulysses BIRTH DATE, |
HEIGHT, five feet, eight inches
WEIGHT, one hundred, thirty nine pounds
APPEARANCE,
something of a femme fatale, leigh is usually seductively dressed, never hesitating to show a bit of skin. her clothing style is accented by a wide variety of loose-fitting, brightly-colored shirts. her clothing choices are vibrant and individualistic, as she's never one to fade into a crowd. skirts and dresses, however, are scarce in her wardrobe, more preferring skinny jeans and t-shirts or other variations. whatever she wears, though, it is always comfortable, something she can fight in.
her skin is fairly pale, never tanning very well. small scars mar her body, though only a few are visibly noticeable from a distance. a few of which are couple of slash wounds across her abdomen. a tattoo was imprinted on her lower back, dangerously close to her rear end, its design a winged heart. her blue eyes are often hid behind her prescription colored contacts, an almost transparent purple. there are times, though, when she can't be bothered to wear them and simply wears her glasses.
in the way of accessories, she has a great deal of jewelry. but it's a secret where she got the money to buy all of it. she has a sharp sense of style, wearing whatever matches her outfit. she isn't quite fond of purses or handbags, though, and will rarely be seen with one. both her ears are pierced as well as her naval. her blonde hair is usually down, though for athletics and combat, it will be tied into a loose ponytail.[/div]
PERSONALITY
at first glance, leigh is quite the aloof and cold bitch. unassuming, calculative, blunt, and sarcastic, she seems rather difficult to get along with. she is, for the most part. quite honestly, she doesn't particularly makes friends well. it isn't in her nature to play nice with others. she does, however, sometimes find an individual who she can't possibly be harsh towards. at this point, she may decide to be somewhat friendly. at least, friendly enough to begin a civil conversation. while she may find a person who seems fairly agreeable, it won't be as if she'll suddenly posses a sunny disposition. if she so chooses, a hostile atmosphere will remain.
as antisocial as she may be, leigh couldn't quite live without humanity either. she needs something to protect, something to roughen up. she needs something to need her. it's kind of funny how contrary she can be. usually, she tends to be a rebellious person, revolting at almost every order she's given. she is a free-spirit, to put it in simpler terms. fickle and unpredictable, others have trouble deciding whether she is as scary as some say. despite that, she does, in fact, have a small circle of friends. though their numbers may be few, she holds them very near and dear to her heart.
leigh will, most certainly, do whatever is needed for her advancement and domination. as easily as she can be ruthless and hostile to her opposition, she can be charismatic and virtuous when it suits her needs. it may be seen as two-faced by some, but she simply views it as playing smart. it's perhaps one of her negative traits, how willing she is to do anything to achieve her goals. but, then again, doesn't it show how flexible and ambitious she is? the thing is, though, grudges are nonnegotiable for her. she will hold a grudge to the death, and, even then, she will grip onto it into her next life. she wouldn't call it revenge, not at all, because revenge has the connotation of evil intent. it's simply payback. nevertheless, if you wrong her, you can be sure that she'll manage to return the favor, no matter the time or cost. it could work in something of a more positive light, too. she absolutely detests owing other people. this makes her seem somewhat arrogant, scarcely ever asking for or accepting assistance. but, when that rare occurrence does happen, she will do almost any favor she is asked of.
upon further analysis, leigh does have some redeeming features. fiercely loyal and brave, she never has trouble speaking her mind. she's blunt, almost cruelly so, and wears her heart on her sleeve. though most of the time she will wear a peeved expression, it is easy to tell when her disposition changes. she enjoys teasing and flirting with others, no matter the gender or age, but how redeeming that may be is arguable. though she does find men attractive, she puts on more of a lesbian-front, having only been publicly seen with women. she also considers herself rather funny. sarcasm and wit can do that for a person. don't let her mane of blonde put you off, she's really quite smart, despite her minor dyslexia. she finds that she can lie quite convincingly, too, although that isn't particularly redeeming. she's incredibly disciplined; however, that doesn't mean she isn't subject to her own impulses. and though it may seem as if she holds no ethical code, she does have her own sense of integrity.

HISTORY
it's been said that strict parents make rebellious children. this has been particularly true in the children of the ulysses household. at least, for two of the three.
leigh's parents were silas and heather ulysses. of italian ethnicity, their families were both immigrants to britain. silas ulysses and heather machiavelli were neighbors in their small suburb by the coast. no one in their neighborhood denied their chemistry, childhood friends turned to highschool sweethearts to a happily married couple. it wasn't too long before their first child was born. lindsay, they called her. a rambunctious and bubbly girl, they raised her diligently until their job began commanding their lives. it wasn't as if they didn't have careers they needed to tend to, after all. silas became a priest in the local catholic church, and he wholly devoted himself to his faith, neglecting much else.
heather found her calling in baking, particularly pastries. she began a catering business which became successful. consequently, lindsay was left in the care of a nanny during her impressionable early years. this caused her to grow to be a rebellious toddler, always in a sour disposition. silas and heather, though, conceived two more children, almost ignorant of their first child's growing problem. their second child was a boy named aidan. he seemed to be almost the opposite of lindsay. he was a quiet baby, often sick, and could do little more than allow his older sister to guide him, despite his adamant refusal.
last but certainly not least, leigh was born shortly after. it was following her birth when silas and heather began drifting apart, shifting from lovers to business partners. it was sad to see, in retrospect. silas seemed totally absorbed in his work as priest, and heather was always preoccupied with new clients, new recipes. this left little time for them to properly parent their children. when lindsay was sixteen, it became apparent that she was a bad influence on her younger siblings. fights and god-knows what else had become daily life for her, and her fourteen year old brother was often pulled into them with her, despite his obvious submissive disposition and dislike of confrontation. leigh, who was thirteen, was much more enthusiastic to imitate her sister, following her eagerly.
it wasn't as if their parents were wholly ignorant to their actions, though. they, at times, would become aware and then chastise them, silas being more forgiving as he was a firm believer in second, third, fourth chances. heather, who was the breadwinner for their family, was more harsh, growing impatient each time she heard of her children misbehaving. when lindsay was caught in the possession of drugs by heather and leigh was found to be severely bullying a certain girl, it became too much. their behavior was seriously confronted, and when it became obvious that lindsay was not going to give in, the now alarmed parents hastily disowned her. there had been too many mistakes and a great lack of repentance. without any parental supervision, lindsay had grown to be a troublemaker, foul-mouthed and impulsive with fists that seemed to be faster than her mind. her parents' forgiveness could only go so far, it appeared. after forgiving her countless times in her short life, it was only a matter of time before they ran out of it. hypocrites was what leigh decided they were as they abandoned her role model.
leigh never did forgive them for that. it's been a grudge that grew in her soul, and she never neglected to raise it. after having disowned their first born daughter, silas and heather decided a change of scenery would do them well, conveniently not mentioning how their reputation in their current area had been harmed. it was then that they decided to move to taniwha island. the timing was good, they reasoned. they could expand heather's catering business, and a sister cathedral in taniwha was in need of a priest. the younger daughter did not miss their eagerness to leave britain, however, and though she wanted to remain there, perhaps live with her sister who was staying at a friend's home, but, at that time, she hadn't had the guts to do it, hadn't had the guts to refuse her parents. it had always been lindsay who had openly rebelled against their parents, leigh had constantly been her supporter, the one who reassured her when she felt discouraged. it is perhaps one of her greatest regrets, not staying in britain.
but life in taniwha wasn't terrible, she had to admit. she could start anew here, build her own reputation rather than being 'the delinquent's sister.' she was the delinquent in tainwha. she firmly established herself as one in the first couple of months of her arrival. it wasn't hard, really. learning japanese wasn't a difficult thing. she had taken japanese as a second language in britain, and her dyslexia lie mainly in the realm of numbers and mathematics. languages wasn't particularly a hassle, although syntax does sometimes give her some trouble, and she does speak with a distinct accent.
though she may not have the appearance of a thug, leigh quickly made it known that she wasn't a helpless foreigner. her most prominent choice was joining a gang. granted, it was a small one, but shearguably grew it into the large group that it is today. it wasn't as if her parents had forgotten about her again, though. if anything, their surveillance was in full-force. during the first couple of months after lindsay was disowned, leigh had decided to lay low, smartly deciding that causing a ruckus in this sensitive period of time might get her kicked out of the house, too. as much as she may play at being independent, she's almost terrified of being on her own. in britain, she could have stayed with friends, with her sister. but taniwha was an alien land, full of strangers. she couldn't be kicked out of the house in such circumstances.
therefore, even now, she's careful about the things she does. never takes home a girl or boy, is always in her bed before the sun rises after a night out, and is never, ever caught with alcohol or drugs. she had learned well from her sister. aidan, though, sometimes proved to be a nuisance. he had more access to the rumors of her activities than her parents did. but she had also learned from her sister that he was easily manipulated, easily intimated. she can play as a good girl well, though. she attends masses and volunteers in the church. at odd times, you can even find her at a soup kitchen or nursing home now and then, causing her image to be somewhat conflicting. but, at the heart, she's always looking for her own best interest.
